While taking pictures at Taylor Lake Park someone behind me called my name. It was one of my coworkers, Dorothy and her dog, Samson, a labradoodle. He's 9 months old and a handsome puppy.

More Birds at Taylor Lake Park

Every other Saturday or so I drive to Taylor Lake Park for a racewalking lesson with Bonnie Stein (see her website in my links section). I usually arrive early, just after sunrise so I can photograph the birds when they're most active. Last Saturday I spotted this Great Egret perched on a sign, staring carefully into the water, probably hunting fish. Later, I spotter two alligators, one was just over 5 feet long. John's Pass Marina

This weekend we drove to John's Pass to take pictures and to eat at one of the local restaurants. John's Pass is locate in Maderia Beach, Florida, one of our local barrier islands. Click on the picture to access my smugmug account and view more September 2009 photos.

Capt,n Jack's Tropical Restaurant Bus

 I left the house early to catch the sunrise over the Anclote River, Tarpon Springs, Florida. I loved the morning light reflected on Capt'n Jack's Waterfront Grill and Tiki Bar bus.
