I've been taking pictures for years, mostly as a way to remember a place or a person or an event. In our closet at home we have albums containing all those old pictures taken using film. On our computers we have thousands of pictures taken with point and shoot digital cameras. But now, using a digital SLR camera (Canon 40D), some amazing lenses, and software, photography has become a more artistic endeavor. So now, I'll continue to take pictures as a way to remember; but also to create.
This site, then, is a place for me to share my photographs with family and friends. It's also a way to motivate me to be more thoughtful and creative through photography.
