Bird Feeder

From the window in the library room at our home we can watch birds eating from the bird feeder. It's hanging a foot or so from the window so we get an up close view. A squirrel has discovered the seed as well. When she's around the birds disappear. Any suggestions on keeping the squirrel from the bird seed? Renaissance Festival - Tampa

Arriving just after Tampa's Gasparilla Pirate Invasion is the Renaissance Festival. The festival is a great place to take pictures. Other than a few cellphones all the actors remain in character until the end of the day. We had fun wandering through the village photographing all the fascinating people. Click on the picture to see more of the Renaissance Festival and by all means head over to Tampa to see it for yourself.

Gasparilla 2010

Arghhhhh! The Pirate invasion of Tampa Bay happened again as it has for over one hundred years. The rain started shortly after the parade began, soaking the pirates and crowd alike. Everyone partied despite the weather. We came prepared with camera rain covers and took pictures through most of the parade. To see more photos click on the pirate. Enjoy!

Wooden Bridge, Weeki Wachee, Florida

This oyster encrusted bridge leads from a fishing peer to an island. People were fishing from both. I love the texture in the wood and the oysters. Click on the picture to see more Florida pictures.

Wood Storks

We drove north to where the Weeki Wachee River enters the Gulf of Mexico. Two Wood Storks were relaxing by a fishing peer. They startled as I knelt to take their picture. Click on the photograph to see more Florida Birds.
